I was very excited to see that Sketchup files could now be imported into Dimension CC. But how do you place a graphic onto the actual model? When I drag an image onto the model nothing appears. There are options to move the image around, but you can't see it. ! !

It should work on any model just as you described.  If it is not appearing then there is a bug, but unfortunately it is likely object related and in order to debug these problems we really need the sample files.  If it's a model you can share, please e-mail to tickets@adobedimension.com.  Please attach as much as possible including: The original model (pre-import) in native format such as .skp, .stl, .obj, etc. The original image you are trying to apply to the model in native format such as .jpg...

It should work on any model just as you described.  If it is not appearing then there is a bug, but unfortunately it is likely object related and in order to debug these problems we really need the sample files.  If it's a model you can share, please e-mail to tickets@adobedimension.com.  Please attach as much as possible including:

  • The original model (pre-import) in native format such as .skp, .stl, .obj, etc.
  • The original image you are trying to apply to the model in native format such as .jpg, .png, .psd, .ai, .etc.
  • The Dimension scene file in .dn format after having attempted the action so we can check the manifest.
  • A screenshot of the problem or result that you are seeing on your end.
  • Your full hardware information:
    • Application Version (Can be located in the About screen)
    • OS/Version
    • Processor
    • Memory/RAM
    • Graphics Card/VRAM
  • The Dimension.log file located here:
    • Mac:  ~/Library/Logs/Adobe/

    • Win:  ~\username\appdata\local\Adobe\Dimension

If you can't send everything, please send as much as possible.

Please do not send this information via the forums.  Please use the email tickets@adobedimension.com .  Thank you!
