Missing Texture for almost all starter materials

New Here ,
Nov 07, 2024 Nov 07, 2024

Recently updated to the Dimsion version 4.0.4

Create a new document.  Starter models work just fine.  Basic materials like Metal, Porceline, Glass, Glow, etc. work just fine.  However, all of the other materials with new advanced properties do not render. The surface of the object gives me a checked texture with "Missing Texture" repeating.

All of this is in the "Design" mode.  Will not render at all.

I have un-installed and reinstalled multiple time.  I have encountered this problem on other comptuers running similar or newer spects (see below).

Comp specs:

Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2017

3.4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5

Radeon Pro 570 4 GB

OS: 13.6.9 (22G830)

I believe I have solved the problem!

Originally, I updated from version 2.0 to 4.0.   However, I uninstalled 4.0 then installed version 3.4. THEN I installed the latest version and it fixed the problem.

It seems version 3 needed to be installed before upgrading to 4.

In new Dn some materials has been updated and some removed. Try to upload similar other material into Dn and replace these materials with newer one.
