Placing Graphics on a group

Explorer ,
Jun 09, 2021 Jun 09, 2021

Hi,

I've made a custom object made from multiple shapes and placed them all in a folder so they're one group. I need to add some flat art to this custom object.

Is this possible? I can place the graphic on individual objects within the folder but can't seem to do so for the entire group.

Please advise?

Thanks.

try exporting the model group as a Obj then reimport it so its seen as a single model... depends on the way you made it but converting them to standard &\or loading them into Photoshop \ Blender to generate new Uv maps will normally do the trick

Thanks for replying.

I reimported as an obj, came in as multiple objects and not a single model. Generated UVs and it wouldn't let me convert to standard model. Still the same issue as with my original file, placement of graphic not poss.

Any tips?

Cheers.

Its not possible to place one decal on grouped objects in Dn, but you can use "Paste as Instance" feature if they are the same object and edit original object.

For materials you can use "linked material" feature to edit all objects simultaneously.
