dimensions imports fbx file circa 450MB but then before the model appears the programme says the programme has encountered a problem. have cleaned down laptop but no difference ...

Does it happens with all other files or is specific for this one?

a 450 mb Fbx file is very big so how much Ram does this system have?

if your system can open the file in some other software like 3Dpaint [default Windows app] then that should mean Dimension has enough Ram as well... unless this Dn scene already has other models in it
