Text not working

When I select the text as a basic shape it does not immediately appear on the screen, like it used to.  There is the icon to rotate, scale and move as always but nothing else.  I can see the text object in the enviroment window and when selected get very limited options in the properties window.  The change font and bevel options have dissappeared.  I can effect the scale and change the text in the text box but does not appear on the screen.  If after selecting the text box I drop in another object the text box stays and becomes part of that objects properties.  This never used to happen, just started after I did an update, I have also tried to uninstall and reinstall but get the same thing.  Can someone please help?

Can't reproduce your bug. All works fine with text on my Win11. What is your OS and GPU?

It does the same thing no matter the order.  The moment I select the text option from the basic shapes this happens.  Everything else seems to work fine.  If I select the text first nothing display on the screen and everything else selected afterwards has the text option as part of properties.  If I place any object on the scene it works like normal until I select the text from standard shapes.  The same thing happens nothing appears on the screen I can the properties section doesn't exist neither does the bevel, and when select other objects the text box is part of those properties now.  Not sure what happened.

This is curious situation. What happened if you select text in Scene panel (layer) and press "F" to bring text object into center of the scene? If you have a text layer that means that you have text object in the scene.

When I select the text in the scene and press F just a blob of grey appears.  This happens with a new file as while as the saved file, I also have tried to un install and re install Dimensions but get same result.  I have included a screen shot of what happens when press F

The text used to work as I used it before and when I load that file the text is still threre but when I select it, I get an errror on the font, it says font can not be found, when open the font there are no fonts to display.  This is different from trying to get new text as with new text I don't have the option to select font as the drop down menu is not there.  Could this have something to do with, thought would tell you this in case it mattered?

Got it, thanks. File work as expected. For revealing text I click on text layer and change font size from auto to any value. See full video. Torus also work as expected. See video capture. If you can't repeat the same process it means that something is wrong in Dn (as you expected). This is my final capture of your file.

the text in all your screengrabs is set to zero... try typing a 10 [enter] in each size box on the text

if that works then your system is using copy \ paste instead of place to insert the text which would be something set by a user

That doesn't work what ever size you put in there still doesn't display.  I have used the cloud cleaner and that seems to have fixed the problem.  If happens again will let you know.  Thanks.
