Creation of own 3D content files

Does anyone happen to create their own 3D files for use in Dimension CC?

If so, which software do you currently use for this.

Hoping to find an easy to use (and preferably cheap!) option.

the cheap option is Blender, I like Photoshop but that is more edit 3d than make it
