Adobe Acrobat XI Validation

I have recently purchased Adobe Acrobat XI Pro student / teacher edt, I am trying to validate it but the validation process keeps telling me I'm not connected to the internet. I am certainly connected and can freely roam the net, login to my Adobe account etc. I have tried disabling all of my security setting and programs, tried a wired broadband connection and it still tells me I am not connected to the internet, any ideas?

If you are experiencing problem with Activating Acrobat, please visit: http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-offline-activation.html

Usually Acrobat do no required live internet connection unless you need to activate the application. Please, let me know when that message pops up.
