Is there a way to specify an annotatino as read only?

Is there a way to specify an annotation as read only, so the user can't edit or delete it?

Currently, no. However, you can detect an annotation change or delete and just put it back. You can also immediately deselect the annot if it gets selected. These aren't great work arounds but they do function.
