Is there a way to purchase apps a la carte without purchasing services too?

I only use 3 apps and none of the services.

The only plans are the single app plan, the Photography Plan, and the all apps plan:

I've moved this from the poorly named Community Help forum (which is the forum for issues using the forums) to the Get Started forum so that proper help can be offered.

I think it might be appropriate to bring this question over to marketing. What a great idea to create a la carte services that we can pick and choose and then have pricing according. It's really no sweat off of adobe except for some minor programming and think of the market you could expand.

But they already DO have a la carte services. You can buy (fixed typo) multiple single app plans, and possibly the Photography plan. If you want 3 or more apps, then all apps is a great bargain.

The whole CC is an à la carte service:

  • You need only InDesign, take InDesign.
  • You only require Illustrator, take Illustrator.
  • You only need Photoshop, take Photoshop (there is a cheaper option, however, with the Photography Plan)
  • You only need Acrobat, take Acrobat.

…but if you require all 4 because you are doing prepress work, you take the all apps option because it gets cheaper.

The same is true if you are doing video works.

The all apps subscription is priced for the average user using concurrently 3-4 applications.

And now, with Substance, there is a different set of applications that are not part of the Creative Cloud environment, but who follow the same path. Individual apps and if you want them all, you take an all-apps subscription.

Sure, you need to pay for that. If you are a professional, the 60€/$ a month should pay for themselves. If you are a hobbyist, either you spend the money or you don't. I know hobbies costing more money.

3 apps is the typical amount people use (only hobbyists and students are likely to make much use of more than 4). And I suspect the great majority of people don't use any of the services. It's like a buffet dinner; you don't pay less if you have a smaller appetite. You CAN purchase a la carte and save money if you use only 2 apps, but it will cost more for 3 apps.
