I'd like to use the Adobe program regularly, but I'm wondering if I can continue to pay with the discounted amount if I make my first payment.

No. Adobe sent me a message asking me to use the original, and when I followed the link, I saw a page that I could buy at a special discount. So when I make a purchase at a special discount, I wonder if the payment will be charged at the monthly discount for one year.

In general a subscripition is for one year, and you pay the monthly amount for the entire year... or you may pay the entire amount as a one time payment

Without knowing the exact wording of what you saw, that is the only comment I may make... however... do be aware that a discount on the first year does NOT always mean the same discounted price after the first year
