So I have run into a bit of an issue here and hope someone here can assist. Today I purchased a new copy of Adobe Acrobat Standard 2020 and have added it to my account. I wanted to remove my copy of Acrobat 2015 from my current PC, put it on a different PC, and then install 2020 on this PC. I followed the the correct steps to sign out and deactivate the software and it showed me as signed out before I uninstalled. However, when I attempted to install Acrobat 2015 on my other PC it gave me an error saying it needs to be deactivated on the other PC.
Thinking maybe there was an issue with the deactivation not going through succesfully, I attempted to reinstall the 2015 version on the original PC and attempt to deactivate again. But now it's giving me the same error on the original PC. Nothing has changed on this system in the last hour since I uninstalled it so, I am a bit confused on this.
I attempted to deactivate through my account but, it shows no active devices. I believe this may be because that only shows subscription licensed devices and not purpetual licensed devices. I also attempted to use the AI chat option but, it acts as though it cannot see the products and will not let me talk to a real person(also guessing this is because it's not the subscription licensing).
Are the activate/deactivate servers still functional for Adobe Acrobat Standard 2015? Any tips on how to resolve this?

Thanks for your question, Floyd. Please see https://adobe.ly/3OLr7xx for information on managing any remaining activations for Acrobat Standard 2015. ^JW

Thank you for the quick response and I apologize for my delayed response. I followed every step provided and unfortunatelly the problem persists. It will not allow me to reinstall it on the original computer to attempt the deactivation again. It gives me the same "Product already in use, deactivate from another computer within X days to use this product".
Any other options? Really confused on why this is occuring, I have deactivated and moved adobe products in the past without issue.

that computer is being recognized as a different computer. this is typical if hardware changes are made, but can occur in other circumstances, too. once that occurs, there's no known remedy other then returning to the previous configuration.

No windows updates, no PC name change, no driver installs, no hardware changes, nothing. Simply attempted to move the old license to a new PC. Signed out to deactivate, uninstalled, and then tried to install on the other PC. When that install failed and said the deactivation did not go through, I attempted to put it back on the old PC to try to deactivate again. Which now gives the same error. Happened in a span of 20min or less. Both PC's are on the same network and there is no web filtering of any sort that would stop it from reaching Adobe's activation/Deactivation servers. The new copy of Acrobat 2020 installed and activated without issue.
Is there no way for Adobe support to resolve this on their end?

I am sorry, Floyd, but all support for these older software titles has ended. Please see the section titled,
I received the error, "Activation limit reached," but I am sure I still have activations remaining. How can I correct any software errors and allow the computer to contact Adobe servers? in https://adobe.ly/3BlXgJ6 for the steps you can take to attempt to activate the software in 2024. ^JW

I downloaded and ran the CC Cleaner tool and, unfortunately, it did not work. Ran it on both machines since the steps said the corrupted license can be pervasive across systems. The logs claim it completed without error as well. But still no change.
That's a real shame this can't be resolved on Adobe's side. From my perspective, Adobe's systems failed to process the deactivation correctly and now I am out of a license I spent hundreds of dollars on.

Floyd, make sure to also complete the steps listed in https://adobe.ly/3ORn0A1 to verify the computer can contact our servers. If you have already completed those steps without errors or questions, then you will need to look for new software to use in 2024. ^JW
