ADOBE cc downloader asks me for my password

I am migrating to a Mac Pro from a PC.  I have a CC subscription and want to download it to the new Mac, but when I click on the downloaded file, a screen pops up with my name, and asks me for a password.  I put in the Adobe password, but it "bumps" up and down, as if the password is wrong.  I've tried this several times.  What should I do?

The "bumps" behavior is indicative that it is the Mac that is asking for your Mac password, not Adobe's software (Adobe software does not involved "password"s).

Thank you so much.  It's exactly what I needed to know.
