Adobe CEFhelper slowing my computer when I play games or stream video

I like to play games sometimes but a progarm called adobe CEFhelper will often activate itself and use a lot of resources making my game unplayable. How do I disable it. 
It usess and enormus amout of computer resources. I have an i7 with 16GM ram and an ssd but this process makes that unable to stream netflix or amazon. I don't have any adobe programs running and this process insists on ruining my day at seemingly random intervals.
