Adobe Cloud has all but killed my computer

I see others post this, but no clear answers.  Since I downloaded Adobe Cloud, Bridge, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator, my computer locks up constantly.  It has seriouly affected MS Office.  I can't put up with this much longer.

You MAY have background programs running that you don't need

How to disable a program in Windows startup
-Right click the 'window pane' in the very bottom left corner of the Windows desktop
-Select Task Manager in the pop up option window
-Click More details if you don't see startup
-Select the Startup tab inside Task Manager
-Select the program you want to disable
-Click Disable in the bottom right corner
-BE VERY CAREFUL WHAT YOU DISABLE SO YOU DON'T STOP WINDOWS FROM RUNNING

Thanks for the reply.  With Bridge and Photoshop open, my RAM is around 77%.  I've closed everything not necessary, and my memory is still aruond 45%, with my CPU bouncing from 100% to 88% to 7% back up to 100%.  I have an Intel SSD that's only half full.  I've cleaned the cookies, run spyware, and cleaned the registry.  Still problems.  I'd go from 8gb RAM to 16gb RAM if I have to, but I'm not sure that's going to fix the problem.

Problems here, as I'm being told to correct the highlighted errors and try again, but there are not highlighted areas.  And when I hit post, I'm asked if I want to leave the site.  I'm really confused.

Please ensure your computer meets or exceeds the minimum system requirements to run Creative Cloud + all other apps you intend to use.  Keep in mind these are baseline requirements only.  Depending on file size, filters, layers, etc..  you may need more resources.

Thank you, Nancy.  RAM is fine.  The graphics card is questionable, in that what is recommended is about 5x faster than what's on my motherboard, but my processor, while five years old, is still $200 more than what is suggested for optimum use.  I have Windows 10, and while it shows only 1 core active, I'm supposed to have 4 cores.  My Intel Processor Identification and BIOS both say I have four cores on my i5-6600.  I uninstalled all my Adobe products and my compuer is working fine.  Still, I have to re-load it for my web design class, and I'm going to encounter the same problems.  I have a strong feeling the problem is from the subscription-based platform that continually scans for unauthrozied use.

I have no such experience. 

  • I disabled Creative Cloud from my operating system's start-up list.
  • I don't use a lot of Adobe Fonts.
  • I disabled Notifications and turned off automatic app updates in CC Desktop Preferences.
  • I quit CC Desktop App with Ctrl + W.

You have barely enough horsepower to run graphics apps. At least upgrade to 16GB of RAM, but honestly its time to look at a newer computer.

A single core processor and only 8 GB RAM is not very powerful.

Even adding RAM may not help.
