Adobe is trying to scam me - Lacie/Seagate redemption codes

New Here ,
Apr 08, 2025 Apr 08, 2025

I have had my account flagged.

I redeemed codes that came with Lacie hard drives that I bought, for 1 month access to Adobe.

I have now had my account flagged for "Fradulent activity":

"

This email is to notify you that we’ve detected suspicious behavior associated with the Adobe redemption code used to purchase Creative Cloud Individual.

In accordance with the above, you now have five business days to resolve this issue. At the end of this grace period, access to Creative Cloud Individual will be blocked.

To avoid disruption, visit our website to access support, information, and find the genuine Adobe subscription that works best for you."

This is completely untrue.

Adobe support are claiming that the codes I used were "non-genuine and that was the reason your subscription got canceled."

The codes were genuine; and they worked, which of course proves the point.

I have been above board throughout this and Adobe are trying to steal my access.

According to Seagate some of those offers may have expired. In cases where there is a missing code or its not working, Seagate has provided contact information with an option to reach out to them and provide proof of purchase and they will offer support. Here is the link to the Seagate offer page for more details: https://www.seagate.com/support/kb/adobe-faq-007869en/

This is just insane because some of those drives I don't have proof of purchase for anymore, they were bought for work and specific jobs.

Or if I DO have proof of purchase, it's in no way tied to the redemption code anyway.

It sure seems like Adobe are just penalising people who bought the drives and used the codes!

more likely your activity is suspicious and was automatically flagged.  you could check your account and see if anything is noted there.

This is part of why I accuse Adobe of scamming me – they have deleted all of my account history so I cannot even see what access I should have

Davonm, I am sorry. If you are encountering problems with your redemption code, please work with the provider to request a new one. I don't see any recent activity under the account you used to post to this public discussion forum, but follow the link offered by Ben to request a new code and then the process again.

For more information on using redemption codes to activate Adobe software, see https://adobe.ly/3XRbUjx. ^JW
