Hi @twinklestar143,

Adobe Portfolio does not provide domain however it gives support for buying a domain using Namecheap.
You can go to Namecheap directly and buy a domain or use Settings>Purchase a domain. If you still face the server error in purchasing then please buy the domain using GoDaddy, Hover or 1&1 etc.
Please go through the article for more help https://help.myportfolio.com/hc/en-us/articles/360037977794-Buying-a-custom-domain-name

Hope it will help.

Thanks,

Akshit Agarwal

AkAgarwal is correct.  You don't have to purchase your custom domain name from Namecheap.com.

In the meantime, why don't you set-up your Portfolio with the default domain -- https : // your_ID. myportfolio . com ?

Later, when you get your custom domain, add it to your existing Portfolio.

Go to domain name provider's website.  Change the DNS A records to your Portfolio's IP address.

Hi,
I looked at similar topics and can't find a comprehensive answer.

I brought my domain to portfolio, but despite being correctly set up at source (namecheap) portfolio insists I don't have 'A' record for my root domain. DNS Checker - DNS Propagation Check & DNS Lookup shows the correct IP addresses as well. Is it commonly occurring issue?

Kind regards

Dawid

@Grendel_PL,

How long ago did you switch the DNS address?  DNS changes can take 24-72 hours to propagate around the globe.  It's not instantaneous.  If you continue to have problems, I recommend that you reach out to the Portfolio Support Team for assistance.
