Adobe Spark Page - Uploading Photos

I teach high school photography and I am having an issue my students' Spark page portfolios. When they upload photos, sometime it takes forever to upload their photos. I have been telling them to reload/refresh their browsers if their pages are stuck. The result is photos on their pages that won't show up which means I cannot see their work for grading.

Spark page is intended for one page story telling, online newsletters and brief videos.  It is assumed that images have been optimized for the web before they are uploaded.  RAW pictures sent directly from cameras are typically too large and too slow loading for optimal viewing on the web.
