Bought Adobe Creative Suite 4 web premium years ago. Suddenly it won't work

I used to work as a graphic designer and on a website. I retired 4 years ago, and only use the product on my older Mac for creating graphics and flyers for the nonprofits I volunteer for. As a retiree, there's no way I want to pay Adobe a monthly fee for products I use two or three times a year. Is anyone aware of a workaround for starting up software that I BOUGHT, and for which I own a license? I appreciate any advice you can give me. Thanks --Julie

Are you saying that it used to run on that laptop with the existing operating system, but now you can't open it?
