My computer is so old it doesn't support the operating system needed to support the new apps. I need to download Lightroom 4. Can I do this through Creative Cloud?

This doesn't work anymore!

Adobe decided to cut off support to older versions and disable even the installed versions that were working,

holding us hostages!

Well that was in 2015- that's 7 years ago!

If it is the Perpetual version of Lightroom-4  (NOT the new 'Adobe CLoud' version) then you should still have your original CD/DVD. Or- If you registered Lr with Adobe: you might still have a download by mananging your Adobe account. https://account.adobe.com/

Otherwise the links provided here might work-

https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-discussions/update-lightroom-4-1-to-4-4/m-p/1253914...

Regards. My System: Lr-Classic 11.3.1 Photoshop 23.3.2, ACR 14.3, Lightroom 5.3, Lr-iOS 7.0.2, Bridge 12.0.2, Windows-10.

some services have been terminated (eg, activation of cs2, cs3 and cs4), but complaining about that is like complaining that microsoft no longer supports vista.  and, if those versions were installed and activated prior to adobe activation shutdown, they continue to work.

and saying lr 4 isn't available via adobe is wrong.  adobe still provides public lr 4 links, Lightroom 4 is Out, Adobe Slashes Prices! Direct Download Links. | ProDesignTools. in addition, many other older adobe programs are available via adobe support.

bottomline: your only accurate statement is pointing out a link from 7 years ago no longer works.  good sleuthing!
