Can I purchase Creative Cloud now but delay installing it until I get my new iMac?

I want to take advantage of the current offer on the Creative Cloud Suite but my iMac does not have the necessary system requirements.

I intend to buy a new iMac next week (by which time the CC offer will have expired).

So am I able to purchase a plan now but delay installation of it until I have my new Mac?

Thanks

they're independent.

your payment is based on the date of your subscription.  when you install, what computer you install on and how many computers you install your programs on isn't related to your subscription date.

ie, you're payment is due and subscription is active when you subscribe even if you never install and use the programs.

no, your subscription starts when you make your purchase.

I don’t have a problem with my subscription starting as soon as I purchase. Just wanted to know if I could wait to install CC after I purchase it. Is the purchase/subscription starting and the installation one and the same process? Or are they independent?

Thanks

You can install (or not) anytime you want - but delaying the install does not get you any extra credit for the subscription.

Okay -

I've gone ahead and purchased the Black Friday special monthly plan and saved myself 40%.

I received my confirmation email but will hold off clicking the 'Get Started' button until I get my new iMac next week.

Thanks all.

i think you're already paying for your subscription and you might want to install on your old (current) computer.

check your account to confirm your start date is 11/22/18, https://accounts.adobe.com

I checked my account and I was been invoiced on 22 Nov.

When I attempted to download one of the free trial apps, I was told 'Sorry InDesign CC won’t run on your OS. To continue you’ll have to upgrade.' And I can't upgrade to the latest OS on my current (old) computer.

So I assumed I would have the same issue with my purchased apps and would need to wait until I have my new iMac to install them.

different cc programs have different specs so you might be able install programs like acrobat.

Okay - I'll check the requirements. It's the design apps I'm interested in and I'd imagine they'd all need the up to date OS. Otherwise I can wait a week or so until I have my new computer.

Thanks
