I bought photoshop and it downloads version 25.9 which has the 0xc0000142 error. Apparently version 25.10 has fixed this but....even when I uninstall my version and go back on Adobe and re-download and install..........it gives me version 25.9 and apparently I'm up to date..........still getting same error. I've done everything the internet has to offer. I've also checked Microsoft but can't seem to find an issue.
How do I get version 25.10???

ok..cc? how do I update an app that won't open? I checked all updates on Adobe and it tells me I have the latest updates. I just downloaded photoshop and lightroom 2 days ago. I've decided to take the laptop to a computer tech. Done messing around. thanks

Yes...and i can see it in my startup apps but it won't open. Keeps giving me error message. Again....I've tried every fix the internet has to offer and it's not working so I'll take it to a tech and let them do their magic. I've installed, uninstalled, restarted, did the dll files, changed local...you name it. It's ok.....few days in the shop and it should be resolved. thanks

what error message do you see when trying to open the cc app?

0xc000142.........I read somewhere it could be a microsoft error also. Recently installed microsoft office 365 some weeks back (zero issues with office) but compatibility issue with photoshop maybe? (but not with Lightroom???) and now that is just too much stuff for me to fiddle with and try to figure out

these are my apps..........I don't see a cc anywhere....I have the photography plan...lightroom and photoshop. Tried photoshop express when my app wasn't working but it's limited. I won't be using it. I'm not sure what or where I could get cc vs ps.......

install the cc desktop app from here https://creativecloud.adobe.com/apps/all/desktop?action=install&source=apps&productId=creative-cloud and use it to install your adobe subscription and trial programs.
if you have trouble downloading the cc desktop app or you see an error message when trying to install, make sure you have a compatible os (https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/system-requirements.html), and use the alternative download links at page bottom here, https://helpx.adobe.com/in/download-install/kb/creative-cloud-desktop-app-download.html

now fix that buy button to install, but don't install until you check back.
start here - https://helpx.adobe.com/manage-account/kb/stop-creative-cloud-trial-mode-after-purchase.html
if that fails, proceed to these steps - https://helpx.adobe.com/enterprise/kb/resolve-trial-and-license-expired-errors.html
if that fails, https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/adobe-license-issues-keychain-credential-mgr.html
if those all fail, change your cc language. eg, try international english
if that fails, change the install location

Did all those options. Thank you so so much for all your time and help but nothing is working and at this point, I'm kind of done. I'll let someone smarter deal with it......................or just will change my plan and stick with Lightroom and find another option for photoshop. It shouldn't be this difficult to get a product working. Thank you

try one more. you won't need to do anything other than let adobe support connect to your computer using chat.
there are 2 ways to contact adobe support; chat and twitter (now x):
chat:
if you have or want to purchase a subscription, use a browser that allows popups and cookies
and click here, https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen
in the chat field (lower right), type AGENT
be patient, it can take quite a while to reach a human.
twitter/x:
tweet @AdobeCare
p.s. if you're contacted by anyone (via email or private message), it's much more likely to be a scammer than an adobe representative.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/
p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
