My laptop died causing me to buy a new one. I didn't notice that the new laptop didn't have a CD drive until later so I purchased an external drive. When I attempted to install my licensed CS5 Extended via the CD drive on my new laptop, the drive spins for a few seconds then ejects the CD. Is ther another way that I can install this?

Does that external drive read ANY program disc?
Find someone with a computer with a disc drive and copy the entire contents of the disc to a USB flash drive

If this was a student/teacher or volume license edition, you have to use your original installation disks as that is what your serial number is attached to.
If this was an ordinary individual license, contact Adobe Customer Care for a direct download link to CS5. Click the chat bot icon and type AGENT followed by Enter/Return key.

IMPORTANT FOR MAC USERS: Creative Suite installers won't work on macOS Sierra or higher. You will need to use terminal workarounds.

Catalina ended 32-bit apps support so it cannot handle Creative Suite at all.

This was a regular license. Thanks for the link. I'll try it tomorrow.

Thank you! I contacted an agent and was able to download the software. Unfortunately, there must have been a problem with the download because it wouldn't let me install. I tried later on with a new download and everything seems to have installed correctly this time.
