Even when I'm not using CC there's an awful lot of stuff running in the background. It's....pretty annoying. Not to mention invasive. Is there any way to disable this? I do not, in any way, feel comfortable using CC because of this.

I would assume that they are necessary to use CC to it’s full extend, but I agree, there are a bunch of programs. I’m not really sure what resources they grab.
