I can't begin to express how pissed off I am at the fact that I should be working right now but instead I've spent half my day fiddling with adobe creative cloud.
This thing is just unacceptable at this point for a product of this cost and a company of this size.
At first -- I tried to install the latest app via Adobe -- the one that just starts an installer and then starts downloading. That never took off from 0%, I left it on for an hour and it didn't budge.
So I found the alternative creative cloud installer that was 300mb but of course it was not the latest version. This one installed successfully but now everytime I start it it starts updating adobe creative cloud before attempting to download any of the otther apps. And it of course gets stuck everytime somewhere between 10-40%. Left it for over an hour and it didn't budge at all.
Now If I try to close the process (all adobe processes) so I can quickly start that app download before it starts to update the creative cloud app -- it works for a bit until it just gives a random error with a 'retry' action. The retry then sets the download at 'waiting...' until the stupid creative cloud update has finished.
Now I have no idea what to do and will probably have lost a whole full days of work. I have no faith in your replies and I'm certain reading them will be another giant waste of time.
Thanks for 700 pounds well spent.
Edit: I'm running a Razer Blade 15 2018 with Windows 10 Pro and full admin rights installed fresh this week. Using run as an administrator and connected to gigabit ethernet via wifi getting a stable 150mbps but I doubt this information will stop you from telling me to use that stupid cleaning tool that didn't work for anyone in any thread.

Hi SebastianGug,
Sorry for the frustrating experience. As you have already tried some basic troubleshooting steps to resolve this issue and it still persists, I would suggest you to manually remove the CC Desktop app from your machine by following the steps shared in the following thread: Photoshop Installation Failed
After this by using the direct download links given in the following link download and install the CC desktop app again: Download Creative Cloud desktop app.
Let us know if this helps.
