CANNOT INSTALL CREATIVE CLOUD

I'm at wits end on this one, been trying to install creative cloud for over 2 weeks now. It's getting to the point that I'm going to have to seriously consider switching to a different design program!

Every single time, no matter which installer I use (the Illustrator trial installer, or the creative cloud desktop app itself), I get error 205. Here's the troubleshooting steps I've used:

1) Reboot into safe mode with networking

2) Removed creative cloud completely and attempted to reinstall

3) Setup a VPN and attempted to install that way

4) Downloaded an older version of creative cloud desktop and attempted to update it

5) Removed every firewall I had on a computer and router level (home user)

6) Reinstalled my operating system (Windows 10)

7) Downgraded to windows 7 and attempted to install (using all of the steps above)

8) Wiped my hard drive completely and installed windows 7 from scratch (and tried all the above)

9) Wiped my hard drive again completely and installed windows 10 from scratch.

10) Ran every app as administrator, or created a new admin user to attempt to run it that way.

I have no ability to use a different internet connection to do this. I am at a compless loss for words, and I worked at IBM for 6 years as technical support.

I spent about 10 hours on fixes for this NIGHTMARE, in WINDOWS 7!  With no luck at all!!   I don't know why ADOBE Engineers for 4 years, could not fix this issue. That lots seem to be having.

I resolved it all...by the FREE UPGRADE, from WIN 7 to WINDOWS 10.  So, it has to be something internally deep inside the registry files, or corrupted files the regualr WINDOWS UPDATES does not fix.  Where the newer WINDOWS 10 install, makes everything work again. Meaning the ADOBE CLOUD is more designed

I also just tried running the cleaner tool, running the installer under windows 7 compatibility mode, and running that installer as an admin. Those steps didn't work either!

I get ERROR CODE 50 and ERROR CODE 46.  I used the CLOUD CLEANER TOOL too.  It just keeps cycling through and ERRORS out.  I am running WINDOWS 7 and  WINDOWS just updated everything last night. 


It's a huge problem with ADOBE and this CREATIVE CLOUD APP WINDOW....and they don't seem to care about fixing it.  I've seen people talking about it for 4 years and all their crazy fixes!  I've uninstalled everything in ADOBE folders, cleaned everything, CLOUD CLEANER and still NIGHTMARE!!   I've owned this creative cloud for 40 days and still can't use any of the programs.

Hi Rachel ,

Restart computer once.

Disable Firewall Temporarily.

Launch Task Manager and end all Adobe related or setup related process.

Make sure to click on Show Processes from all users option.

Step 1 :

Open C:drive and navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\ " Common Files" \Adobe.

Open Adobe folder and if present delete folders named Adobe Application Manager and OOBE.

Step 2:

Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe.

Open Adobe folder and if present delete Adobe Creative Cloud folder. [**important]

Unable to delete??? rename it to Adobe Creative Cloud-old.

Step 3 :

Press Windows button (located between Ctrl and Alt buttons) along with R button together at a time , you will get a run command window.

Type in below command and hit 'Enter' key.

appdata

Then navigate to Local>Adobe.

Open Adobe folder and delete folders named AAMUpdater and OOBE.

Step 4 :

Make sure Adobe Creative Cloud is not listed under Control Panel > Program and Features. list.  [ Important ]

If you are unable to remove , try Microsoft Fix it :

Step 5:

Move Downloaded Creative Cloud setup from Downloads folder to C:drive .

Right click on Creative Cloud Setup.exe and select Run As Administrator option .

I have done ALL OF THIS! When I click on the installer, I get the same "Cannot Connect to Adobe Servers" message I've been getting for the past two days!!

You have not stated you OS version! (and I note you are "averse to updating"!)

Using Windows-7?  Read this-

Good Luck everyone!  I think a fresh WINDOWS install, with saving your daily files to a back-up HD is the ticket!!  It's something to do with ADOBE SECURITY ISSUES, old ADOBE software and newer installs.  That confuse the SECURITY in the CLOUD, I would bet.  The ADOBE CLOUD wants a new PC, without OLD files, registry files or corrupted files on install!   I am not a Software Engineer....just someone that had been on Apples, Macs, Pc's and thinks smarter then that average wannabee software TECH.

Hi Jone,

Run Registry Cleaner tool once , Make sure that there are no Adobe related remnant files or folders left due to previous attempts made for installation.  [ If you haven't tried after re-formatting OS , ignore this step. ]

Also , Have you tried installing Adobe Creative Cloud desktop using Offline installer ??

If not , you may give a try :

Steps for direct download installation process:

Step 1)

Click on below link and open CS 6 download page , do not download anything from there , simply keep it open.

Download Adobe Creative Suite 6 applications

Step 2)

Once the CS 6 download page is opened , click on below link , it will download CC standalone installer Zip file , extract it and then right click on Setup.exe and select run as Administrator option .

You had mention Illustrator trial installer , you mean did you downloaded Illustrator offline installer ??
