Hi there, I'm trying to upgrade a desktop version of Lightroom CC to Lightroom Classic CC. The current installed version is 2015.2 v6.0, and I've tried selecting various options in the download list, from Lightroom Classic CC v7.0 all the way up to 8.2.
Each time I get the same message: Installation failed.
When I click 'more info' I get the following in the pop up: Unable to install the product. Click Retry to download and install it again.
The same thing happens every time I click 'Retry'.
There is no error code.
Internet connection is all good.
Subscription for the year all paid up.
Please can anyone help?

lightroom cc and lightroom classic cc are two different versions with confusing names, https://photographylife.com/lightroom-classic-vs-lightroom-cc
you can't 'upgrade' one to the other. that said, you should be able to install whichever you want and update whichever version you want. i can't determine what you really want but you can use the cc app to update installed versions, install other versions and uninstall unwanted versions.

Thanks so much for your reply! Yes, sorry, I didn't word that correctly at all!
I have been running the 2015.2 version of Lightroom CC (not the current CC cloud based version). I'm now trying to install Lightroom Classic CC... but it fails every time whichever version I choose, giving me the message I posted above.
Any further help or thoughts much appreciated!
