I have Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4. I had it installed on my PC, but it crashed a week ago. I wasn’t able to uninstall it before the crash. I’m wondering if there is a way to install it on a new laptop? Also, I’m wondering if it will work if I buy a Mac instead of a PC.

In terms of licensing, you can install on a different machine (2 active installations at a time) - it is possible that your Lightroom license holds up for both PC and Mac, though I forget if that was the case back then.

In terms of functionality, whether or not you can install old software on a new machine is always chancy.  Someone else here might have specific experience with Lightroom 4 versus newer systems.
