so after a recent cc update on my laptop, i have lost an older version of indesign 2021 v16.4.3. adobe can only provide a direct link to base version 16.0.

however, on my desktop, i have not yet updated cc apps so there is a version of indesign 2021 v16.4.3 installed on that device.

is it possible to transfer/copy/migrate that indd 2021 16.4.3 version from one mac to another? still same account/login/licence?

thanks

NO.  do not do that.  migrating is much more likely to cause major problems with adobe apps than it is to fix anything.

the only exception is if you can reliably restore your computer to a time prior to migration.  but because the key word is "reliably", and nothing is that reliable, i wouldn't migrate if i were you.

see your previous thread about the things you can probably do to update that version 16.0 to the latest version 16.

Make sure to set the CC app preferences to not remove old versions when updating.

You can probably get a direct link to the preferred version on the ProDesignTools website. Be sure to follow the instructions on the linked page exactly as written.

I don't recall if that version was subscription or not. If it wasn't, you'll need your registration number. If it was, it should work as long as your subscription is current.

Those links go directly to Adobe servers and only the .0 versions are available, not the updated versions.
