I am very frustrated with Adobe's ability to support product downloads and using the Creative Cloud Desktop application. I have been using Lightroom since version 1.0 and the recent changes to the download process have led to complete failure. Basically the problem I am experiencing is that the download stops before it completes. This has occured for any application I have tried to download including the Creative Cloud Desktop application itself.
I tried going through all the troubleshooting steps on the website and discussed in forums assuming the problem was on my end, including: Uninstalling CC desktop app, running the cleaner program, turning off firewalls, wiping my hard drive - reinstalling windows and then trying to install CC desktop app as the very first thing. All fail by freezing at about 1/3 through. I know my internet connection is fine and my service provider is not timing me out on my end because I downloaded Windows 10 (over 4GB) with no problem. I do have a very slow internet connection, so I am pretty well convinced that the problem is that Adobe's normal server used for downloads via the CC Desktop app is timing me out.
I was finally able to download and install the CC Desktop application by getting a link to a executable (EXE) download file for the application. However, once I got the application up and running (no problem there) I still am freezing for every application I try to download via the CC desktop, including Lightroom Classic, Lightroom, Photoshop, Bridge - all freeze.
After some effort I found the location where there are executable copies of the programs I can download and am now trying that method, but it rather defeats the purpose of the CC desktop application. Adobe should reevaluate their server timeout limits for those of us out here with slow internet connections or research why this failure is occuring.
...and I can't get a faster internet connection. I am paying for the fastest connection available where I live. I even researched trying to get fiber laid to my house and it will only happen if I convince everyone in the neighborhood to pay $20K each. Or I pay the $2M all my self and I am not independently wealthy :-(.

DaveShafer, Hello.
Seems to see other posts, have you solved it?During this time, it seems that other users have reported similar problems. In most cases, re-installation seems to solve itIt is true that some people still cannot download.
I found an interesting post so please try it.

Speaking of that, it is the previous story, but when I tried to install it in the minimum condition (memory 4 GB, OS was also guaranteed at that time 10.11) that CC works on mac at that time There was a case where it could not be installed successfully due to timeout. At that time, when I talked to support, I was pointed out that there was not enough memory. Certainly, the OS also consumes memory, and based on that, PCs with only 4 GB will be below the minimum conditions, so the memory capacity listed in the minimum conditions is free memory rather than installed memory It may be better to think of capacity.By the way, the internet line used the optical line.

I still have not solved my problem. I have been able to get all my programs working again by going to https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/creative-cloud-apps-download.html and downloading the apps from their. Unfortunately, these don't appear to be the most recent version of the application because after I got them installed the Adobe CC desktop application indicated that I needed updates for all my programs. Again, when I try to do the updates I get about 1/3 through the download and the download stops. I don't have this problem with other large downloads I have done for Windows and other applications; only Adobe.
Also, I have 32G of RAM, so I don't think that is the problem. I think the problem is that I have slow internet service locally (not from Adobe); however I think Adobe's servers are just timing me out after a while. They need to realize that we don't all ahve 25M/S download capability. I would be okay if they made sure they kept the most up to date applicaitons on their alternative download site, but unfortunately the applications are out of date.
