Anyone else experiencing very slow downloads while using the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop App?
With the recent updates to many CC apps, I was attempting to perform the updates using the desktop app, but after a couple of hours, only one app had been updated. I thought it could be my PC so, I performed a complete reset and reinstall of Windows 10.
After the reinstall, I am now simply trying to download and install the Creative Cloud Desktop App, but it has been sitting at 5% for over 30 minutes. Very frustrating. There is no issue with my internet connection, as I am able to access other sites with no issue.
Anyone else experiencing this type of crazy slowness?

Regarding this issue, I got on a chat with a Adobe Support tech. He/She remoted in to my pc and uninstalled and reinstalled the Adobe Creative Desktop app. After that, updating wasn't lightning fast, but at least it didn't hang anymore. Eventually everything DID update. I doubt you would need a tech to do this. Here, you can see how to do it yourself.

I can't believe this post is from 2018. It's 2021 and I'm having the same issue. I had the Creative Cloud Desktop app on my imac but the apps wouldn't update. So I uninsstalled CC desktop and am now trying to reinstal it. I've been trying every day for a week. The downnload progressses in X.X% After ten hours it's only progressed 20 %. I'm honestly fed up. What can I do?

I just checked out of curiosity moments ago, and I was able to download Photoshop (1.7 GB) from Adobe in 103 seconds...
Hopefully that's fast enough for most people? We do have a gigabit connection to our house so that helps, but there seemed no limitation on the speed by Adobe's servers.

Adobe does not care about its customers as long as you keep paying thay will contine riping you off. Adobe has secured best low pay BS artists that India can provide they will all do same thing and waste your time until you realize that they will not and cant help you. Problem is in Adobe download server and its internet connection that is inadiquat for the number of downloads. Fixing it would cost money so it has not been fixed for years. If our politicians served we the people insted of corporations we would have consumer protection and this and other corporet ripoffs would not be happening.

Again, not sure what problem the Adobe download server has. If you are encountering a specific issue, then please contact Customer Care. But over 15 years, I've never had any problem.
As noted above, I just was able to download the entire 1.7 GB Photoshop in about 100 seconds. Most people would find that fast enough.

Okay, now do the math on that one.
In Australia, 50 - 100Mb/s (6 - 12.5MB/s) is typical. At 1.7GB in 103 seconds, you're achieving a transfer rate of about 16.5MB/s, which is about 13 per cent of your potential transfer speed.
At 13 per cent of my potential transfer speed, the same download would take about 20 minutes. That's assuming a stable connection and no drop outs.
Yes, gigabit speeds definitely help.
