Not a fan of the new popup window, what was once a nioce dropdown menu is now a screen hogging window - its in your face and takes up too much real estate. I like the extra options available but would like to see a future version go back to the dropdown menue idea (but with all the new bits available)., or indeed an option to go to a menu version.
I have never been a fan of the similar treatment on the apps like Illustrator, Acrobat etc but the updide is, the welcome screen can be turned off.
Still a fan of the great apps, thankyo

Hi Jeff
The Creative Cloud app itself.
It resides in the apple menu bar. When click on i9t the welcome window opens in the middle of the desktop.
Prior versions coame up as a dropdown menu

Jeff,
I read this as a comment on the Cloud Desktop app: new design vs old design.

Hi John
Yes, it was a comment but I believe a serious one, if one is to change the operation behaviour of a programs interface one should make sure it is better. This change to the Cloud Desktop is most certainly not a change for the better in my opinion. It should be optional - hey, I use 2 x 30" monitors and still find it obtrusive

Then Shut the CC DTA down and stop it from starting, Launching, with the system startup.
Then you don't have to look at it, move it around or anything.
It is NOT needed to use the Adobe programs. If you find you need to us it then you can start it just like you open, start, other programs.

You have missed the point, having it in the menu bar is a quick way to access it when you need it, as you well know, the notifications are highlighted by a red dot on the icon prompting one to look.
It is at this point the old dropdown is cool and the new obtrusive window is not. Simplicity has been replaced by a screen hog.
Further to your comment, start it just like all other programs, other programs are simply started by clicking or left clicking for options, they do not start with an annoying welcome window and they are also iin the main started to "Do" or "Create" something. CC app is more to "Look" at something, like notifications from the top right corner.
The whole point of my comment is that Adobe should take note and recognise correct work practices.
As a side note, I have been using Adobe products (Illustrator in particular) since the Mac Plus and SE days, so don't Shoot Me, there isn't that much time left.
Thanks
Ron
