When I open Create Cloud on my Mac desktop this is what I get:
I am running High Sierra 10.13.6. This is a relatively new problem. Previously CC worked fine and I was able to download and install. Now I am stuck at the screen shown above.
How can I fix this please?

As per the screenshot you have shared it seems that the Creative Cloud desktop app is corrupted.
To resolve this issue follow the steps given under 'Solution 3' of the following help document: "Failed to install" error received when installing Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app"
After this install the desktop app again using the direct download links given here: Download Creative Cloud desktop app.
