The Sign Out button on the CC Preferences pane is grayed out, and therefore not useable. I've uninstalled/reinstalled the CC app; didn't help. Any advice?

Glad to hear that !

I also had to do this and your solution did work, I would just like to say we PAY A LOT of money continually for your software, and this is what we pay for... navigate to an administrative folder, delete files reboot... what the heck Adobe? What junk are you selling us? I feel like Adobe has already gone down hill with all this activation stuff, honest people who pay for your expensive subscriptions now have to go through these ridiculous steps to get it to work??? First, it was bad enough that you decided to be money greedy and not let people pay over a thousand dollars for your software and just own it... corporate greed. But once you decide to milk everyone taking a monthly subscription so we don't see how bad you take our money continually, but now your software is junk. I installed a free pdf reader because I got sick of my adobe activation asking me to log into an app to authorize my log in to quickly open a pdf. So you are slowly losing my business to better non greedy companies that deliver software that just works, considering going to other photo editors that offer the same benefits that are not greedy with software subscriptions and that you don't have to go in and delete files to make their stuff work. So this process once again is enlightening, and makes me think twice about shelling out my money every month to you,
Just want to add, I noticed that Adobe CC app needs some time to load everything. I notice the last thing 'loaded' is the sign out button. I guess the app needs time to sync with the cloud to check the subscription and authenticate the user every startup. Especially if the app isn't set to start up at boot. Hope this helps someone.
