cs6 missing file for installer

New Here ,
May 17, 2017 May 17, 2017

I had cs6 design standard installed but my computer crashed and had to be formatted.  Now as I try to download and isntall it I get a message saying there are missing files and I cannot complete installation.  I do have serial number but I haven't even gotten to that point.

How to get a complete cs6 design standard installation file?

thanks,

ester h

if you have sierra os, it's not compatible with older software.

adobe's posted a work-around:  https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/install-creative-suite-mac-os-sierra.html

if that doesn't help what file(s) did you download (name, extension and size)?

Download & Install instructions https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2003339

-and many help and download links https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install.html

-kglad links in reply #1 here https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2296468 may help

When you ask a question you need to provide some basic information

-Forum quick start https://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-5601

Mac or Windows, and EXACTLY which version of the operating system?

Recent Mac AND Windows operating systems have been known to cause "odd" problems

Are you using a computer Administrator account with full read/write permission?

CS6 and earlier programs have not been tested and will not be updated for Mac El Capitan/Sierra

-which means that you try to use CS6 and earlier at YOUR risk of having problems due to Apple updates

-Apple did not maintain backward compatibility with old programs in El Capitan or Sierra

--Adobe has a workaround to Apple's problem of not maintaining backward compatibility

--several help links inside this message https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2301916

-also install OLD Java runtime if needed https://support.apple.com/kb/dl1572?locale=en_US

An idea that MAY work to install and/or run old programs in Windows 10... works for some, not for others

-RIGHT click the program icon or EXE and select a compatibility mode in the pop up option window

-or Run as Administrator http://forums.adobe.com/thread/969395 to assign FULL Windows permissions may help... says Encore, but sometimes required for ALL Adobe programs (this is NOT the same as using an Administrator account)

-or more on permissions https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2293598

Hi,

I am having the same issue. I have my product key/license, but no longer have the original install file for Creative Suite 6. Does anyone know where I can find the install file? I am running Windows 10 Pro.

Thanks!
