We have workstation that has the same software and the same hardware till now - Windows 10 and Adobe CS6 (since 2013). Adobe CS6 exist on the workstation without any changes for many years (used daily).
But, on May 9 2024 the message/window appeared with re-enter the serial number.
But what is important is that, after re-registration we get a message: "The serial number you entered has been revoked".
This happened (for no reason, no new installation, no serial transfer etc.) on a workstation that has been running since 2013. And the Creative Suite 6 become be a trial. Epic.
Adobe support in short: sent us a solution such as stoping the processes, run the Creative Cloud Cleaner, deleting specific directories (such as SLStore, SLCache, etc.), reinstalling.
It does not work.
Re-installation in short:
* the serial number entered in the installer has been accepted (!) (selected programs and destination folder)
* the installation went without errors
* during the first launch e.g. ID, appeared the separate window "serial number" with empty fields for serial number (!), and communicate "The serial number you entered has been revoked. This product cannot be licensed."
* the software goes into trial mode (yupi)
BUT we tested clean windows systems and new installation of CS6:
1. clean Windows 7 installed (with our legal license) + SP1 + zillion MS patches + Adobe CS6 installed (with our legal license), results: serial number accepted, installation completed, activation of legal serial number rejected by Adobe server
2. clean Windows 10 installed (with our legal license) + Adobe CS6 installed (with our legal license), results: serial number accepted, installation completed, activation of legal serial number rejected by Adobe server
Logical conclusions:
* it's impossible to activate the license on new clear installation (because serial number has been revoked by Adobe)
* it's also impossible to reactivate the license on old existing (since 2013) Adobe CS6 because serial number has been revoked by Adobe for unexplained reasons
Of course, the only solution to this problem is to purchase a new subscription!
Isn't that brilliant?
Has anyone had sudden and unexpected problems with CS6 licenses?
Is there a solution to this situation?

you can check with adobe support and ask if there was an error. but if your serial number was revoked for cause, you have no options.

Did you purchase it directly from Adobe or through a third party reseller?
If a third party reseller, they may have sold it to you illegally, and Adobe has just recently discovered that.
