CS6 The serial number is already in use by the maximum of 2 computers

I am trying to install CS6 as I recently upgraded PC and reinstalled windows. It says "The serial number ########## is already in use by the maximum of 2 computers." Support said to create a community post and someone on here can fix the issue. There are no activated devices listed under https://account.adobe.com/activated-devices

Went though 2 more support in the chat following the advise of https://community.adobe.com/t5/download-install-discussions/how-to-deactivate-cs6-licenses-on-a-brok... and they were able to reset my account.

they didn't reset your account. they reset your cs6 activation count.

so for others with a similar issue, request an "activation count reset".

CS6 is from 2012 and not all chat staff today know anything about programs that old, so good that you found one who understood what you needed
