Adobe no longer supports TLS 1.0 and 1.1. Please check your system that you're enabled the Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.2 protocol.

For more infos take a look here:

If you're using Win 7 please upgrade your OS and install the MS Easy Fix.

Update to enable TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2 as default secure protocols in WinHTTP in Windows (microsoft.co...

Also upgrade your browsers to enable TLS 1.2 connections.

CS5 is a no longer supported product and it may be that the activation servers are no longer live.

This isssue was discussed a few years back in the thread below:

https://community.adobe.com/t5/download-install-discussions/deactivating-cs5-prompts-quot-please-con...

As advised in that forum, you could try contact Adobe tech support trough he lnk below (type real agent for a real person) and explain your situation.

Thank you. I've tryed but no answer. The product is no more supported. As you say, no autentication server online.

But if no servers authentication are offline, if I re-install the product on other pc, Adobe denies the license ?

Thank.

  • You can call technical support and ask for a product activation count reset. That is the ONLY support they can provide you. If they tell you they can't do it, ask to be escalated. Many CSRs aren't aware this can be done.
  • You need to have TLS 1.2 enabled on the old and the new computers. Google for information on how to find out if it is and how to enable it if needed.
  • Once the activation count is reset and you know TLS 1.2 is enabled, you can try installing and authenticating again. If the CS5 or CS6 activation servers are still working and you have TLS 1.2 enable, it should work.

And yes, if the activation servers have been taken offline, you won't be able to install or activate CS5 on any other computer ever again. You also won't be able to reinstall it on the old computer.

CS5 is 12 years out of date and unlikely to be compatible with new equipment.  You might want to give some serious thought to getting new software to match your new PC.

Premier Elements 2022 is under $100 (no subscription needed)

https://www.adobe.com/products/premiere-elements.html

System Requirements: https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-elements/system-requirements.html

If you need a pro-level video editor and have sufficient equipment to support it, Premier Pro by subscription is USD $21/month for 12 months or $240/year prepaid.

Hope that helps.
