I have a win 10 laptop and will hopefully have access to the old CS4 premium design software so would like to know will this still work.??

not beyond the 30 day trial period because you can no longer activate cs2, cs3 nor cs4. cs5, 5.5 and 6 can't be far behind.

Okay thanks, so how far is the cs 6 before its no longer workable, interms of adobe cd photoshop and other products , what workable then?

CS6 can still be activated.
We are not privy to how long CS6 will be able to be activated or be able to be used on newly released operating systems.

As already said by kglad, there is no way to activate CS4.

there's no legal way to activate cs4 and earlier adobe programs. i don't know if there are illegal ways to work-around adobe activation.

No. The aged out activation servers are dead. Creative Suite is no longer sold by any vendor, retailer or country.
