Download of Photoshop Elements 14 marked unsafe by Norton Internet Security

Hello,

I registered a new copy of Adobe Photoshop Elements 14 today, and went through the download process, but Norton Internet Security thinks it is unsafe as it has no security history and a google search indicates that while not described as malware the website from which it came behaves in much the same way..

The file name is Download_Adobe_Premiere_Elements_14_(Windows).exe

It seems to have come from a website that bears no obvious relationship to Adobe, i.e. protexis.net

Perhaps your website has been hacked or my computer has been hacked, though I am up to date with Norton and haven't been using the sorts of website from which one could expect dodgy behaviour.

Would you investigate, please.

Kind regards

Robert Jones

Have you reported this to Norton as a suspected false positive?

good idea, but I am still unhappy about the lack of any obvious relationship between Adobe and protexis.net which makes me very wary.

Thanks for trying.  Unfortunately the download would not accept my serial number.

However, as it's a day later, I thought that if there were any security issues with the download you would probably have fixed them by now, so I downloaded the install again from the website http://protexis.net and am now trying to run it.
