Download programs and drop subscription. Disadvantages?

If I download Photoshop and Lightroom (I have a cloud subscription now for both), can I continue to use those downloaded versions even if I drop the subscription?

FYI, I have had intentions of using the software for two years, but I haven't used it much at all.  Not sure what the disadvantages are if I drop the subscription for now to save money.

NO... a subscription only works while you pay... stop paying and the programs stop working

Did you previously purchase licenses to use older (non-CC) versions of Photoshop and Lightroom?  If not, your software will stop working when you stop paying.
