Hi there. I'm trying to install Adobe CS6 (NOT the cloud version) from an old Mac Mini to a slightly less old Mac mini and I get an error 16 code. The Adobe site gives a fix for the Cloud version, but some of the instructions don't match. The newer Mac has High Sierra on it (not ideal, but it should work). Any ideas?
>install Adobe CS6 (NOT the cloud version) from an old Mac Mini to a slightly less old Mac mini
You don't install "from" one computer to another, you use your disc or download to do a fresh install
Apple did not maintain backward compatibility, so try this to install old programs

CS5 and CS6 are on life support. But they can still be activated providing you have the following:
1. your original media (disks or downloads) you received at purchase and a way to read them,
2. a legitimate serial number for that version, language and platform (Win/Mac) and if it was an upgrade, a qualifying serial number from an older product,
3. an older operating system that can support legacy 32-bit apps.
NOTE 1 : Creative Suite installers won't work on macOS Sierra, High Sierra or Mojave witho

John,
Yeah, I was doing that wrong; I see that now. However, due to Nancy's response below, I think I'm at a dead-end. Thanks for your reply.

NOTE 2: Legacy Creative Suite will never run on Catalina or Big Sur. Only the latest Creative Cloud products are compatible.
NOTE 3: Legacy Creative Suite is discontinued & unsupported. Use at your own risk.

Many thanks, Nancy. Even if I can find the original installer dics, it sounds like it wouldn't work on my Mac Mini [which runs High Sierra] without a lot of work. I use Photoshop now and again but not often enough to justify all that. I guess I'll have to let it go.
Just as a side note, there are a number of programs I'd be happy to pay for if it were a one-time fee. These monthly payments are just too much for the casual users. Frustrating.
Thanks again for your help.

It's not a LOT of work. But a workaround is required if you want to continue using legacy software.

Another option is to buy Photoshop Elements, a lite version without all the fancy bells & whistles or steep learning curve.

Requires Win10 (1909 or higher) or macOS Mojave, Catalina or Big Sur.
