error code 50

I also had this on win7 64bit, I ended up deleting all the files using the adobe un-installer.

I got the error again.

This is what Adobe told me to do - it worked.

This isn't the first time this had happened. In 65% of update scenarios I get an error and have to delete all of creative cloud and start again.

Some workflow, after i've been through hours of going around in circle on the help site, I don't feel creative - i feel upset, angry and in need of a drink and maybe start smoking again.

Anyway, I digress here's the solution - BTW i changed my name on this.

Arul: I understand that when you update Creative Cloud desktop app, you get Error 50. Is that right?

Arul: Open Task Manager by clicking Ctrl+Shift+Esc and click on Processes tab.

“Notcreativenow”: ok

Arul: Look for below processes and end it.

Arul: AAM Updates Notifier, Adobe ARM, Creative Cloud, coresync, CEF Service Helper, CEPservicemanager, Creative Cloud helper, AdobeCrash Deamon

“Notcreativenow”: none of those are runnning

Arul: Okay.

Arul: Please navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe

“Notcreativenow”: ok , i am there

Arul: Rename Adobe Creative Cloud folder to Adobe Creative Cloudold.

“Notcreativenow”: i appear to have 5 folders called creative cloud

Arul: Is every folder say Adobe Creative Cloud?

“Notcreativenow”: one called creative cloud and then four others called creative cloud but with numbers after it

Arul: Just rename the one which say Adobe Creative Cloud.

Arul: Great,.

Arul: Navigate to C:Program files(X86)/Common files/Adobe

“Notcreativenow”: ok there

Arul: Rename AdobeApplicationManager, OOBE folder to AdobeApplicationManagerold and OOBEold.

“Notcreativenow”: ( was another with the same name, with old after - we've been here before

Arul: Okay.

Arul: That's okay.

Arul: Now open Run window by clicking on Windows key + R

Arul: Type %localappdata% and click enter.

Arul: Navigate to Adobe folder and rename OOBE to OOBEold.

“Notcreativenow”: ok done

Arul: Okay.

Arul: Click here to download Cleaner tool.

“Notcreativenow”: i have already run the cleaner tool about 30 mins ago

“Notcreativenow”: i took everything creative cloud off

Arul: Let us check if you have Adobe Application  Manager in it.

Arul: Type e and hit enter.

Arul: Type Y and hit enter.

Arul: Type 3 and hit enter

Arul: May I know if you have Adobe Application Manager for Windows XP or Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app in the Cleaner tool?

Arul: Please Quit the Cleaner tool .
