Hi all
I have Adobe Photoshop Elements 2023 (purchased on 26.10.2023) and Premiere Elements (purchased 08.08.2024).
I tried to install both downloads several times on my new laptop.
At different times during the installation I always get the same error message:
Either:
Installation error:
"Adobe Photoshop Elements 2023 cannot be installed at this time. (error code 183)
Or:
CustumHook_HD_EO.exe - System error:
"The execution of the code cannot continue because MSVCP120.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may solve the problem."
With this error message, I am about to uninstall something. The error message wants a reinstallation.
I then have to cancel the installation with "Exit" for both messages.
The laptop is brand new (received yesterday). No antivirus program is running. The system is Windows Home 11 / 64 bit. Windows is up to date.
Both Products are activated and I have also downloaded both installation programs from Adobe / Products and tried to install them.
I also have to carry out the installation as Admin. However, every attempt ends with the same result.
I hope you have any suggestions for a solution.
Many thanks in advance

Hello everyone, thanks to everyone for the quick response and willingness to help.
Sorry for my late response. I was only able to take care of it now.
Unfortunately, none of the tips from you have led to a solution and I don't know any more advice.
I find it strange that a normal end user with no prior programming knowledge is now encountering such problems.
I have reinstalled all Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable packages, as described in one of your posts. Unfortunately without success.
Best regards

contact adobe support via chat so they can check your computer. there are 2 ways to contact adobe support; chat and twitter (now x):
chat:
if you have or want to purchase a subscription, use a browser that allows popups and cookies
and click here, https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen
in the chat field (lower right), type AGENT
be patient, it can take quite a while to reach a human.
twitter/x:
tweet @AdobeCare
p.s. if you're contacted by anyone (via email or private message), it's much more likely to be a scammer than an adobe representative.
