ERROR MESSAGE : Render Missing ?

Mercury Playback Engine Software only will be used."

The Mercury Engine has been working on this system for 4 weeks why would it not now work ?

You updated your graphics driver or some configuration changed.

Yes,Dell Tech service has now replaced the Nvidia Quadro 3000 M card and all has returned to normal, maybe improved.
