Free trial ending before it's begun?

I downloaded a free trial of InDesign last week, but noting I only had 7 days to evaluate it, I decided not to click the "start trial" button until I knew I could dedicate an decent amount of time to it, i.e. not until next week.

This evening I've received an email saying my free trial is ending soon, yet the button still says "start trial".

Has my trial run out already?

How do I fix this?!

once the program's installed your 7 days start elapsing.  there's no easy way to fix that on the same computer, Understand why Adobe trial software expires or ends early

you can reinstall and start another 7 day trial on another computer.

Thanks for your reply, but I do not have another computer to run this trial on.

A "start now" button tells me I have control over when to start the trial. and as I haven't clicked it yet, my trial should not have started yet!

If the trial started the moment I downloaded the software, the button should NOT have said "start trial"; it should have said "your trial has now started" or started a countdown, or something else to very clearly indicate the trial had already begun.

If Adobe is going to limit trials to 7 days, then it needs to make it VERY CLEAR when those trials begin!

i understand you were mislead but you can check that link in message 1 to see there's nothing that can be done to extend that trial on the same computer.

You aren't insulting Adobe here, but random people who are also Adobe customers are try to help. I'm not sure that will help you.
