Hi. It possible to find and decrypt the CS6 master collection SN on the nonbooting HD at this point? Lost my stored SN info & didn't realize it till now. Or is the SN part of my Adobe account and recoverable? Bought it back in 2016, so I am certain the vendor no longer has the info if I can even contact them now.
Any responses appreciated. Noticed Jeff Wright responding to a not-too-dissimilar post on this forum, so wondering if Adobe actually has such records.
Thanks,
Bruce Duncan
I bought one of those batch serial numbers for CS6 Adobe sold to people who resold them on eBay, then later disallowed.

That's a shame. You get what you pay for, I guess.
Goodbye & good luck with your future endeavors. 🙂

Manan,
Thanks, but I apparently was too stupid to register my CS6 Master Collection with Adobe. Probably because Adobe was on the verge of going to CC, but still stupid. My only chance of recovering the serial number is if it still exists in the hard drive which, though no longer bootable, has all the DATA on it unharmed.

It's unfortunate not to keep the serial numbers safe. I still have the serials of my CS1, CS3 and CS5 products. But yes, **** happens, and you would like a solution. Maybe you will find find a clue here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/download-install/find-serial-number-without-adpbe-id/m-p/7769447#M531...

You can recover the serial number if all the DATA on the HD is intact.

Please note that 10 year old Creative Suite is on life support. It may not work with modern operating systems. It absolutely won't work with Catalina or Big Sur. Adobe no longer sells or supports CS6. Adobe employees cannot help you with anything except an activation count reset which could end at anytime.

Hi, Ms. O'Shea,
Ultimately was able to recover my SN for CS6 and then, though I'd used
it without difficulty for over a decade, my SN was disallowed. I later
learned from this thread that I bought one of those batch serial numbers
for CS6 Adobe sold to people who resold them on eBay, then later
disallowed. I have no thanks for Adobe! I mostly used Photoshop and
Illustrator, and had largely set them aside in favor of Affinity Photo
and Designer. I was simply reinstalling what I'd HAD on my PC before I
had hard drive problems.

The question is more: will it work, when the software is not installed on the system? As installing is more than copying to a disk, it may well be that the required information is stored during the installation process in some system databases like the registry on Windows computers.

Hi,
I would request you to may be check once your mailers if your Vendor has shared the Software license Certificate that contains the Order number and the Serial number details.
Alternatively, you may contact Adobe Support Team and share the possible email address on which the Software was ordered as I understand Support Team can search Licensing website with the registered email address and locate the Order details.
Please contact Adobe Support Team by clicking on : https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/support.html for chat or https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/phone.html
Hope it helps.
Thank you.

If you purchased from Adobe, it's probably recorded in your Adobe account.
