Hello
I want to hear from anyone else who has had their phone credit or internet allowance swiped by adobe's bs auto-updates.
I put 30 bucks credit on my phone just now and connected my phone up to my computer so I could use the internet.
Next thing 5 gig of data had vanished, I had a look through everything that was open and "adobe cloud" had started downloading
every update at once.
So not only had it stolen 30 bucks worth of credit in a heartbeat but I get nothing for that money either as that only covered about 3%
of each programs update,
Thats called stealing adobe, I didn't ask for the updates and phone credit costs a lot in Australia.
Your shoddy update system is fraudulent and stole from me.
Will I be getting that money back?
And how many people have you already done this to?

I have never had updates from the Creative Cloud install or download automatically, I always get a notification that updates are available from the CC app and I can choose when to download them
Maybe you have this option enabled, if so just disable it

Sorry Ged
I think you think i'm some new recruit, 10 years in the industry using these programs.
Yes I had the auto-updates disabled, in fact I had adobe cloud's auto startup disabled.
It shouldn't have been running at all.
I've even gone to the extremes of editing the System files (Registry and all) on my mac to disable startup.
Every time, without permission it sneaks back in, re-edits the registry so it can start on
startup and begins updating again.
This time after the program had hacked my computer it decided to try updating everything at once!
This is completely un-acceptable Adobe.
I don't believe you when you say that mate sorry.

I don't get updates unless I specifically invoke them from my Creative Cloud desktop app. That said, the software does have to call home once in a while to confirm your subscription status. When was the last time you were online?

Are you talking about online in Adobe Cloud?

The day before was the first time I had logged into the cloud for about a month on my home computer.
That doesn't warrant the program hijacking my computer, editing registry files and slamming me with every
single update possible.
I totally get that adobe wants to keep it's intellectual property safe, thats fine.
It's when they start interfering with my rights as a consumer that I get pissy!
This bizzare need to slam my computer every couple of weeks with bs updates that are only there as
an excuse to make sure i'm not stealing has just cost me actual money.

That's definitely not my experience. Maybe something else is going on with your computer that you don't know about.

Computers clean, its adobe software

Not my experience either.
The Cloud Desktop app always notifies me whenever updates are available but never forces them on me.
Do you know exactly which apps are being updated in that 5GB of data download?

So i'm the only one that has had updates forced on me since Adobe cloud.
I'm thinking you guys either don't pay for your downloads or have no idea whats going on.
You know the little icon up the top right, the cloud?
That fricken thing that you cannot disable, that does things in the background.
When you aren't paying attention.
I monitor what happens on my computer, thats why I can say this with confidence.

This is with all adobe programs shut down

Yes, there's plenty going on in the Activity Monitor. Background processes whirring away. All. The. Time.
But that does not explain 5GB of data download or updating apps on your hard drive without your consent or knowledge.

Please someone enlighten this poor lost soul on how an apparently perfect and honest program can suddenly turn rogue against only one person?
Or ask your manager please

You're aware that ACP's are Adobe end users just like you?
We don't work for Adobe.

Sorry John
I am just really upset with adobe right now and certainly wouldn't put it past them to have paid APC's.
I hate the way these companies think they can violate our rights whenever they want.
If i hacked an Adobe computer I'd probably go to jail.
But they can re-write my registry and my permissions on my personal computer to allow themselves
to have good look around my computer just in case i'm stealing from them and cost me money in the process.
When will it stop? I ask.

Have you tried creating a Log File to try and get some clues about what's happening?
