New Here ,
Sep 03, 2013 Sep 03, 2013

I'm having trouble installing photoshop cc through the creative cloud app. My PC is windows 8, I'm sure that's not a problem, right? It takes a long time to move up every percent and then after 10% it says that it failed to install nothing else. Another time it just said error. I need help please! I need this program ASAP! Thank you!

Stephanie it appears your file permissions were compromised for the C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Installers\adobeTemp\.  Please see Error "Exit 6" or "Exit 7" | Install log | Read, write, system file errors | CS5, CS5.5 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-exit-6-exit-7.html for information on how to adjust your file permissions.

Jeff,

I have tried seeing the error exit code 6, but my computer doesn't give me the option to do the rest of the steps after step number 6.

Is there anything else i could do?

Stephanie I believe this is due to you using Windows 8.  I found updated directions for adjusting file permissions on Windows 8 at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2623670#method11.

Curt_Y-e3VFvO Your suggestion to use a different browser seems to be helping me. I was using the default 'e' browser, but the time it was installing was a torture. I just canceled and switched to 'chrome' and it seems to at least be a little faster. I hope it completes before the end of the day! 🙂 Thank you,
