How to install Acrobat Pro DC

Wish to install Acrobat Pro DC and have already the SN. Is it possible to upgrade from Acrobat 9 Pro?

You cannot upgrade from acrobat 9 pro. Upgrade to acrobat DC is available only from acrobat X and acrobat XI.

But than it seems that I am forced to disinstall my Acrobat 9 Pro from my system.

Means this, that I will loose all my folder as well as any data created with Acrobat 9 Pro?
