How to transfer license

Hi,

one of our client bought and AE software, however he is not working in our company any longer. Probably he registered program at his own account. Now we need to reinstall PC where AE was installed, however we do not have hard copy of the AE software and we are not able to download it from account (we do not have an access to his provat Adobe account). How we can transfer a license to our account?

Ok. I think that topic would be more suitable on CC forum, or on Download, instal forum - not here. But since you asked I will try to help you.
First let's clarify:
1. What version of AE or other Adobe software do you mean/have on that machine?
2. Does your client/ex-employee paid for that AE license himselve or you payed for that?

One question about the licence transfer - if I sold CS5 from which I have upgraded to the CS6 (I have got a separate box of CS6 now), I would transfer only CS5 (not CS6 as an upgrade) right? It could be disaster. 😄
